Magnus Rimvall 

Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Magnus Rimvall has twenty years of experience with industrial IT, of which he has held global management positions since 1993.

Born in 1957, Magnus graduated with a Master's degree in Engineering Physics from the Lund Institute of Technology in 1982; he earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in 1986. He stayed on as Assistant Professor for two years, when he joined General Electric in Schenectady, NY for 7 years, followed by 2 years with the Swiss-Swedish engineering company ABB.

In 1996, Dr Rimvall joined the Danish engineering company FLSmidth as local IT manager; shortly thereafter, he was promoted to global CIO. In this position, he was responsible for introducing a standard IT infrastructure and common systems throughout global FLSmidth. He was also in charge of the off-shoring of over 50% of all IT development, support and operation to the FLSmidth site in India.

Dr. Rimvall joined Teleca as CIO in December 2006. His responsibilities have included building a global IT organization.
