Sami Inkinen 

Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer 

Sami Inkinen has 15 years of experience within the mobile and software industries. Since 1995, he has been focused on leadership and management.

Born in 1967, he holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Digital Signal Processing from Tampere University of Technology, Finland. He produced his doctorate thesis while working as Researcher and later as Fellow at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN), Geneva, Switzerland, from 1991 to 1995.

During the periods 1989-1991 and 1995-2006, Dr Inkinen worked at Nokia, holding various management positions in Nokia Mobile Phones, Digital Convergence Unit, Nokia Ventures Organization, Technology Platforms, as well as Nokia Research Centre. Among other duties, he has led the creation of several data-oriented products such as Card Phones and Communicators, and the creation of the Bluetooth consortium.

Dr. Inkinen joined Teleca as CTO in January 2007; since then, he has driven the global strategy, quality, and IPR, along with establishing the Teleca Technology Labs organization to address emerging new technologies and business models.
